TOWN OF ADAMS - A 16-year-old Argyle teen received minor injuries after his vehicle crashed into a power pole in the Town of Adams, causing County J to be closed while repairs were made Sunday morning.

According to a Green County Sheriff's Department news release, the unidentified teen was northbound on County J when a deer entered the roadway and the teen swerved to avoid the deer. The driver attempted to overcorrect the vehicle and lost control as the vehicle crossed the center line and hit a powerpole, snapping it. The pole landed across the highway and caused a power outage in the area. The driver's vehicle overturned.

The driver's two 16-year-old passengers also had minor injuries. They were treated by Argyle EMS at the scene and released to a responsible party. County J was closed while repairs were made by Alliant Energy.

Argyle Fire Department, deputies and the Green County Highway department assisted at the scene of the crash.
