BRODHEAD — A Brodhead police officer retired earlier this month after nearly 30 years of service to the department.
Scott Watson is beginning a new chapter in his life after retiring Jan. 10, Brodhead Chief of Police Chris Hughes announced.
Watson began his career at the Brodhead Police Department in 1990 as a community service officer and dispatcher. In 1992 he was promoted to part-time police officer and in 1994 to full-time police officer.
During his tenure he served as a firearms instructor, evidence and property custodian and received specialized training in rapid-response deployments.
