Violet J. Bohr, 87, died at home after a courageous struggle with Lou Gehrig's disease, surrounded by loving family members. Dedicated and beloved longtime employee of Rockford Engineered Products and member of the Lyran Club. Kindhearted and generous friend to many. Blessed to have been baptized in the River Jordan.

Survivors include brother, Meredith "Mick" (Charlotte) Burrington of Edgerton, WI; step-sons, Kenneth (Karin) and Brian (Elaine) Bohr; nieces, Dixie Downes, Christie Easton, Cheri Mittleider; nephews, Wayne Larson, Terry, Kerry and David Burrington; and special friends, Laszlo Balatoni of Budapest, Hungary; Mavis Kerr, Priscilla Abbott, Joanne Day, Judy Matalon, Jessica and LeRoy Crall, Madeline Parker and Betty Basford. Preceded in death by husband Henry, parents Willie and Jeffie Burrington of Janesville, WI; sister, Audrey Larson; and brother, Wesley (Mary Ann) Burrington.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2014, in Olson Funeral & Cremation Services, Ltd., Fred C. Olson Chapel, 1001 Second Ave., with Rev. Denver Bitner officiating. Interment at Saucerman Cemetery, Cadiz Township, Green County, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the ALS Assn. of Chicago, 220 W.
