DARLINGTON - On Thursday, Oct. 24:
• A hit-and-run accident was reported at 3:32 a.m. on West Moundview Avenue in Belmont. Richard A. Mader, 63, Davenport, Iowa, parked his semi legally and went into a nearby business. Upon returning to his semi, he discovered that an unknown vehicle had hit his semi, causing minor damage. The incident remains under investigation.
• No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle accident at 7:26 a.m. at the South Wayne Mart in South Wayne. Dixie M. Sigafus, 66, Warren, was parked legally while getting fuel when a passenger in her vehicle opened the door as a vehicle driven by Toni M. Curran, 57, Gratiot, went around Sigafus' vehicle, and the door hit Curran's vehicle. Both vehicles were moderately damaged and driven from the scene.
