Traffic Accidents: Jan. 7, 2011

Monroe Police

MONROE - No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle accident at about 3 p.m. Wednesday in the 500 block of 8th Street. Police report a vehicle driven by Rita C. Chambliss, 66, Monroe, collided with a vehicle driven by Angela R. Johnson, 37, Browntown. Chambliss was cited for failure to yield the right of way.

Green County Sheriff

- Dianna L. James, 54, Browntown, reported at about 5 p.m. Wednesday that she was westbound at about 6:45 p.m. Monday on Wisconsin 11, west of Allen Road (Town of Cadiz), when she collided with a deer. The vehicle received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

- John B Elliott, 38, Browntown, collided with a deer at about 7 p.m. Wednesday, on Wis. 11, east of Ullom Road, in the Town of Cádiz. The vehicle received moderate damage and was towed from the scene.

- Joshua R. Royce, 20, Shullsburg, reported he collided with a deer at about 8 p.m. Wednesday in the W9000 block of Wis. 81, Town of Jordan. The vehicle received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - A hit-and-run accident that occurred in a business parking lot on White Street in Benton was reported at about 11 a.m. Wednesday. Deputies report a legally parked vehicle owned by Helen Hocking had been struck by an unknown vehicle.
