Green County Sheriff:

MONROE - April R. Kaiser, 17, New Glarus, and her two passengers were uninjured in a one-vehicle crash in the W9300 block of County H, York Township at 9:48 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8. Kaiser was eastbound on County H when she lost control of her vehicle while negotiating a snow-covered curve in the roadway. Her vehicle left the roadway and slid down an embankment and hit a power pole. The vehicle sustained moderate passenger side damage and was towed from the scene.

• Katie L. Studer, 19, Monticello, claimed no injuries in a one-vehicle crash Sunday, Feb. 9 on County EE east of Silver Road, Town of Mount Pleasant. Studer was westbound on County EE when she lost control of her vehicle due to slippery roadways and speed. The vehicle spun in the ditch and traveled through a fence. The vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene at 12:58 a.m.



New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - Police took a report of a hit-and-run vehicle crash at 10:19 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8 in the 400 block of 6th Avenue. A darker colored Ford truck was reported to have fled the scene. The incident is under investigation.



Lafayette County Sheriff:

DARLINGTON - Dennis J. Blum, 44, Shullsburg, reported hitting a deer on Wis. 11, Shullsburg Township, Friday, Feb. 7.

• A deputy along with Gratiot First Response, Gratiot Fire Department and Rural Medical Ambulance responded at 1:24 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8 to Riverside Road, Gratiot Township, for a vehicle vs. snowmobile accident. Dale R. Mayer, 68, Waunakee, received non-life threatening injuries after being ejected from his 2012 SkiDoo snowmobile. Mayer was northbound on the Cheese Country Trail when he failed to yield right-of-way at a stop sign on Riverside Road and hit a vehicle operated by Joseph H. Ubersox, 35, Shullsburg.

On Sunday, Feb. 9:

• Jakub B. Spurley, 20, Montfort, was uninjured in a one-vehicle accident on County G, Belmont Township at 5:24 a.m. Montfort was eastbound on County G when he failed to negotiate a curve and lost control of his vehicle due to slippery roadways. Spurley's vehicle slid into the snow embankment causing severe damage to the vehicle.

• Terry L. Travis, 58, Rowlett, Texas, was uninjured in a one-vehicle accident on Hope Street, Shullsburg. Travis was backing out of a private driveway when his vehicle slid down an embankment and hit a speed limit sign.

• Julie A. Hinderman, 54, Darlington, reported striking a deer at 5:47 p.m. on County P, Gratiot Township.
