Orville A. Boeck, age 95 of Monroe, died Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Aster Retirement Community of Monroe. He was born on December 10, 1920, the son of Arthur and Margery (Armstrong) Boeck. He attended South Wayne schools. He married Emma Schiess on September 20, 1945 in South Wayne. After their marriage they farmed in the Winslow, IL and Argyle, WI area. Orville managed the Monroe Water Department for 30 years. He was a 67 year member of Monroe Smith Masonic Lodge and Valley of Freeport Scottish Rites, 50 + year member of Zor Shriners, member of Eastern Star, and numerous other Masonic organizations.
He is survived by daughter Jacqueline (Richard) Rinehart of Redmond, WA, sons, JR Boeck of Monroe, Lee (Judy Piette) Boeck of Albany, Ron (Lynn) Boeck of New Glarus, brother, Glen (MaryAnn) Boeck of Monroe; also 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Robert (Bev) Schiess of Freeport, IL; sister-in-laws, Nellie Carstensen of Hollywood, CA and Marie Mason of Monroe. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Emma of 66 years; brother, Robert Boeck; and sisters, Eva Schliem and Erma Williams.
Private family services will be held on Friday, January 8, 2016 at SHRINER-HAGER-GOHLKE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Mary Gafner officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery. A visitation will be held Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. A Masonic Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
