Juanita P. Collins, age 91, of Monroe, WI, formerly of Gratiot, WI, passed away Monday, May 7, 2012, at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Monroe. She was born September 17, 1920 in Wiota Township, WI, the daughter of Charles and Alta (Douglas) Noble. Juanita attended Gratiot Schools and Janesville Craig High School. She was united in marriage to Kenneth R. Collins on April 24, 1937 in Janesville. Juanita worked as a cook for Gratiot Elementary School and was also co-owner and operator of the Sportsman Bar in Gratiot. She also worked at Micro Switch in Warren, IL, retiring in 1985. In 1994, she moved to Monroe.

Juanita is survived by seven children: Richard (Betty) Collins of Brodhead, WI, WI, Janice (Kenneth) Gille of New London, WI, Patricia (Larry) Krebs of Waupaca, WI, Karyle Gile of Waunakee, WI, Dr. Connie Kampmeier of Carmel, IN, Thomas (Cyndy) Collins of Wisconsin Dells, WI, and Terri (Kirk) McCullick of Hudson, IL; 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; one great-great-grandson due in two weeks; and one sister-in-law: Lois Noble. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son-in-law: Patrick Gile; two brothers: Chester Noble and Orville Noble; and four sisters: Mable Bonjour, Vivian Erickson, Geraldine Chandler, and Fernie Meichtry.

Juanita was a member of United Methodist Church of Monroe and was a past member of Gratiot Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Neighbors of America and a past member of the Fireman's Auxiliary.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 10, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at United Methodist Church of Monroe, 2227 4th Street in Monroe with Rev. Larry Hakes of Darlington United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Gratiot M.E. Cemetery in rural Gratiot. A visitation will be held Thursday, May 10, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. The Erickson Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Darlington, WI, is serving the family.
