Isadore G. "Nidge" Petersen age 86 of Albany, Wisconsin died Sunday, January 26, 2014 at New Glarus Home. She was born January 3, 1928 in Albany Township, WI the daughter of Frank and Margaret (Lawrence) Dunphy and attended English Settlement and Albany Public Schools.

Isadore married Nelson A. "Pete" Petersen on September 25, 1947 at St. Rose Catholic Church in Brodhead, WI. Nidge sold Avon for 30 years, farmed with husband and upon retirement, owned and operated the Village Tap in Monticello with her husband. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Albany and very active member of the Altar Society, was Honorary Member of the Avon's President Club, very proud of her Irish ancestry, and was fortunate to take a trip to Ireland in 2006.

Surviving are her children, Patrick (Kay) Petersen of Albany, WI, Margaret Ann (Ted Carpenter) Petersen of Evergreen, CO, John "Jack" (Tracy) Petersen of Brodhead, WI, and Donald Petersen of Albany, WI; sisters, Delores McNamara of Madison, WI, Phyllis Aeschliman of Albany, WI, and Sharron (Jule) Gehrig of Madison, WI; grandchildren, Micky Petersen, Ashley Petersen, and Kristel Petersen; great-grandson, Zane Miller; and brother-in-law, Roger Klett of Milwaukee, WI. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Pete; brother, Lawrence (Mary) Dunphy; sisters, Mary Klett, Bernadine (Don) France, and Joanne (Gary) Germann.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 31, 2014 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Albany with Fr. Michael Moon Celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Croak Settlement, rural Albany.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Thursday, January 30, 2014 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Albany and from 10:00 A.M. Friday until time of Mass at the church.

A Memorial Fund is being established in Nidge's memory.

Nidge's family would like to extend a Special Thank You to New Glarus Home and Monroe Clinic Hospice for their care.
