Curtis E. Richardson, 62, Orangeville, Illinois, died Friday, January 8, 2016 in his home after a sudden illness.

Born February 4, 1953 in Beloit, Wisconsin, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester and Rosemary (Carroll) Richardson. Graduated from Durand High School, Class of 1972 and Kishwaukee College. Married the former Theresa A. Kruschke in Durand, Illinois on August 29, 1987. He was a self-employed farmer for 43 years. He was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish and Knights of Columbus in Monroe, Wisconsin, Green County Beef Producers and Orangeville FFA Alumni. He was a long-time 4-H leader in Green County.

Survivors include sons, Brad (Katy) Thompson, Oak Lawn, Illinois and Mike (Meghan) Richardson, Maryville, Tennessee; daughter, Christina (fiance Patrick Grate) Richardson, Quincy, Illinois; grandchild, Allison Thompson; sister, Carol Patterson, Durand, Illinois; brother, Dan Richardson, Durand, Illinois; several nieces and nephews and former wife, Theresa Richardson. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Doug Richardson and sister Kay Marie Richardson.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 13, 2016 in St. Mary Catholic Church, 602 W Main Street, Durand, Illinois with Father Larry M. Bakke, pastor of St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, Monroe, Wisconsin officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at McCorkle Funeral Home-Durand Chapel, 101 Main Street, Durand, Illinois from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 12 with a scripture service to be held at 7:30 p.m.
