In an article headlined "Council deliberates on trash trucks, collection," published in the Wednesday, Sept. 19 edition of The Monroe Times, the proposals for city trash collection were incorrectly described. Veolia, Rock Valley Disposal and Waste Management Inc. submitted trash collection service proposals based on using the Green County transfer station but also included proposals using other transfer stations. Pellitteri Waste Systems submitted one proposal based on using the county transfer station and a company representative gave an oral commitment July 2 to use that facility.

The Times regrets the error.
