- A warrant was filed Tuesday, May 8, for the arrest of Lisa M. Valentin, 37, Freeport, Ill., on two Class I felony charges of failure to pay child support for more than four months at a time in 2010 and 2011.
- A warrant was filed Tuesday, May 8, for the arrest of Robert J. Sanders, 22, Rockford, Ill., on three Class I felony charges of failure to pay child support for more than four months at a time in 2010 and 2011.
MISDEMEANORS
- Gina Kelly Allen, 41, Albany, pleaded no contest Thursday, May 3, to charges of disorderly conduct and battery and was granted one year of deferred prosecution on the conditions that she continue alcohol/drug and anger management counseling, attend monitoring conferences and pay $430.50 to the court. According to court records, Allen had been drinking beer, a violation of a court order, when she bit, scratched and punched a man at a residence in Albany. Charges of bail jumping and criminal damage to property against Allen were dismissed.
- Michelle J. Cameron, 46, Orangeville, Ill., pleaded no contest Thursday, May 3, to a Class A misdemeanor charge of shoplifting $781.08 in merchandise on Dec. 24 from Shopko, 405 W. 8th St., in Monroe. She was fined $326. Among the items she attempted to steal, according to court records, were hair care products, bras and panties, shoes, a pillow, jewelry, girls' pants and children's book and toys.
- Todd Glen Booth, 44, Barneveld, pleaded no contest Thursday, May 3, to misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct charges that he got abusive and pushed a woman during a confrontation over parking at an apartment complex in New Glarus. He was sentenced to two days in jail and granted one year of deferred prosecution, on the conditions that he continue counseling, pay $243 in court costs and obey any restraining order requested by the victim.
- Joshua Christopher Broge, 23, South Wayne, pleaded no contest Friday, May 4, to two Class A misdemeanor charges of bail jumping, a Class A misdemeanor charge of obstructing an officer and a Class B misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct. He was sentenced to four years of probation, with the conditions that he undergo alcohol treatment and pay restitution and court costs. The charges stem from several incidents, according to court records: in June 2011, he was armed and intoxicated in the W7900 block of County Y in the Town of Jordan and refused to leave a wooded area when police came looking for him; in July 2011 he was arrested for bail jumping; and was arrested again April 4 for disorderly conduct. A charge of operating a firearm while intoxicated was dismissed.
- Scott Bradley Spurrier, 46, Brodhead, pleaded no contest Friday, May 4, to a Class B misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct and was granted one year of deferred prosecution on the conditions that he attend anger management counseling and monitoring conferences and undergo an assessment for alcohol and other drug abuse. Spurrier yelled, swore and ripped the shirt of a woman during an argument in December 2011 at a residence in the Town of Decatur, according to court records. He was fined $263.
- Brian Matthew Teasdale, 34, Monticello, pleaded guilty Friday, May 4, to a Class B misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct and an unclassified misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated (third offense). He was sentenced to 14 days in jail and 18 months of probation. He has $243 remaining in fines to pay. According to court records, Teasdale was arrested May 6, 2011, on a charge of driving while intoxicated and got abusive and violent with a police officer during a blood-draw at Monroe Clinic ER. A Class A misdemeanor charge of resisting or obstructing an officer was dismissed.
- Deanna Monique Hoffman, 25, Monroe, pleaded no contest Tuesday, May 8, to a charge of disorderly conduct and was fined $330.50. Hoffman yelled at, punched and strangled a woman in December 2010 at a residence in the N2300 block of Haddinger Road in the Town of Clarno, according to court records. A Class A misdemeanor charge of battery was dismissed.
