Cindy Kay (Mader) Miller, age 41, of Monroe, WI, peacefully passed away on Friday, November 29, 2013, surrounded by loved ones at University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, WI, after fighting a courageous battle with Leukemia. She was born December 27, 1971 at St. Claire Hospital in Monroe, the daughter of Walter and Elizabeth (Bond) Mader. Cindy graduated from Monroe High School in 1990.
Cindy is survived by her mother and stepfather: Elizabeth and Stuart Leopold of Monroe; three children: Brittany Miller of Monroe, Trisha (Nick) Wealti of South Wayne, WI, and Travis Huber of Monroe; one granddaughter: Jessica Thompson; her maternal grandmother: Betty Bunting of Monroe; her loving sisters: Jody (Dan) Baldwin of Mesa, AZ, Betty Jo Mader, Annette Mader, Kandy Mader Lapp, Denise Condon, and Billie (Josh) Leopold all of Monroe; 12 nieces and nephews; many cousins, aunts, and uncles, and a special friend: Robert King. She was preceded in death by her father: Walter Mader, her paternal grandparents; Erma and Rudy Mader; her maternal grandfather: Glen Bunting; two uncles, two nieces, one nephew, and one cousin.
Cindy loved her family and being around her granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews. She enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and camping. Cindy also enjoyed attending Renaissance fairs and living life to the fullest.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 7, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Peace Church in Christ, 312 East South Street in Browntown, WI, with Rev. H. Wayne Gregory officiating. A visitation will be held Saturday, December 7, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Cindy's name. The family would like to express their appreciation for the kindness and care the Hematology and Oncology Staff at the University of Wisconsin Hospital gave Cindy during her stay.
