ALBANY - An Albany man was arrested for felony DUI, his sixth such offense, following a one-vehicle accident at about 8:30 p.m. Friday in the N8600 block of Argue Road in the Town of New Glarus.
Deputies report Thomas J. Bayrhoffer, 47, Albany, was southbound when he slowed for the upcoming intersection.
He reportedly started to slide on the snow-covered road and went into the ditch. The vehicle received no damage and was towed from the ditch.
Bayrhoffer was arrested for felony sixth offense driving while under the influence of intoxicants; and cited for failure to maintain control.
The Wisconsin Department of Corrections also ordered a probation hold on Bayrhoffer. Bayrhoffer was jailed.
The New Glarus Police Department assisted at the scene.
