MONTICELLO — Officers responded for a commercial burglar alarm at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 11 in the 100 block of Wis. 69. It was found an employee accidentally set alarm off.
On Sept. 13:
● A suspicious person was reported at 11:37 a.m. in the 400 block of Washington Street and at 11:40 a.m. in the 300 block of South Main Street. The person’s identity was known.
● A suspicious person was reported at 5:19 p.m. in the 500 block of East Wisconsin Avenue. It was found the person was taking pictures for a mortgage company.
● A parking complaint was reported at 5:26 p.m. in the 100 block of Staedtler Avenue. It was found the vehicle was disabled and removal arrangements were made.
● A parking complaint was reported at 6 p.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street. A parking citation for violation of the 24-hour parking ordinance was issued.
● Officers responded at 8:40 p.m. in the village. Monticello Fire First Response and Green County EMS assisted.
On Sept. 14:
● A suspicious person was reported at 10:04 a.m. in the village. Contact was made.
● Leo J. Thomann, Monticello, was cited for prohibited dumping/littering at 3:42 p.m. in the 400 block of North Main Street.
● A 911 misdial was reported at 8:37 p.m. on Wis. 69 and Cemetery Road.
On Sept. 15:
● A dog at large was reported at 6:59 a.m. in the 100 block of East Lake Avenue.
● Officers conducted traffic control at 8:21 a.m. on North Main Street and East Coates Avenue.
● Fraud was reported at 1 p.m. in the 600 block of Washington Street. No money or personal information was given.
● A dog at large was reported at 2:19 p.m. in the 200 block of North Monroe Street.
● A window company solicitor was reported at 5:40 p.m. in the 500 block of North Monroe Street. The investigation is ongoing.
On Sept. 16:
● Officers assisted Green County Sheriff’s Department with an injured deer at 6:43 a.m. on Wis. 69. The deer was removed.
● Rebekah A. Bak, Monticello, was cited for disorderly conduct at 4:44 p.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street.
On Sept. 17:
● A parking complaint was reported at 8:04 a.m. in the 100 block of Staedtler Avenue. The vehicle was towed and impounded as a result of violating the 24-hour parking ordinance all week.
● Natural gas odor was reported at 10:31 a.m. in the 300 block of East Highland Avenue. WE Energies assisted.
● A vehicle on fire was reported at 2:08 p.m. on East Wisconsin Avenue and Adams Road. It was found the engine was smoking with no visible flames. It was towed. Monticello Fire assisted.
● Counterfeit money was reported at 3:54 p.m. in the 400 block of West Coates Avenue. It was found to have occurred outside village limits. The appropriate law enforcement agency was contacted.
● A subject on a no drink in possession of intoxicants was reported at 7:41 p.m. in the 100 block of Wis. 69.
Brodhead Police
BRODHEAD — For the week of Sept. 5 to Sept. 11, police performed 142 security checks, 23 citizen assists, 10 assists of other agencies, seven follow-ups to incidents, seven vehicle registration and nine traffic stops; responded to 54 calls for service and reported three EMS calls, 15 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls and no fire calls. No detox or mental health transports were reported.
● A traffic complaint was reported at 8:09 p.m. Sept. 5 in the 500 block of 1st Center Avenue. A warning for unsafe lane deviation was issued.
On Sept. 7:
● A code violation involving an unkempt property was reported at 11:53 a.m. in the 900 block of 14th Street, at 11:57 a.m. in the 1300 block of West 3rd Avenue, at 11:58 a.m. in the 1800 block of West 3rd Avenue, at 11:58 a.m. in the 1700 block of West 7th Avenue, at 11:59 a.m. in the 1600 block of West 3rd Avenue, at 12 p.m. in the 100 block of East 3rd Avenue and at 12 p.m. in the 700 block of West 2nd Avenue. All are under investigation.
On Sept. 8:
● A Seattle, Washington man, 36, was cited for possession of THC at 3:37 a.m. in the 500 block of 11th Street.
● A 17-year-old woman was cited for failure to stop for school bus at 8:39 a.m. in the 1000 block of 10th Street.
On Sept. 9:
● A Rockford, Illinois man, 61, was cited for speeding at 5:09 a.m. in the 600 block of East 9th Avenue.
● A Janesville man, 46, was cited for speeding at 6:08 a.m. in the 600 block of East 9th Avenue.
● A domestic dispute was reported at 8:11 a.m. in the 300 block of East 8th Avenue. This remains under investigation.
● A parking complaint was reported at 7:03 p.m. Sept. 10 in the 1100 block of West 2nd Avenue. Vehicles left prior to police arrival.
On Sept. 11:
● Disorderly conduct was reported at 3:52 p.m. in the 900 block of West Exchange Street. This remains under investigation.
● Property damage was reported at 5:44 p.m. in the 400 block of East 6th Avenue. This remains under investigation.
● Theft was reported at 5:39 p.m. in the 400 block of East 6th Avenue. This remains under investigation.

● A Brodhead man, 38, was cited for disturbing the peace with a motor vehicle at 12:33 a.m. in the 1100 block of West 2nd Avenue.
● A South Wayne man, 26, was arrested on a probation hold at 3:05 a.m. in the 600 block of 1st Center Avenue. He was also cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
● A missing juvenile was reported at 4:04 p.m. Sept. 13 in the 2100 block of West 9th Avenue. The juvenile was located and returned home.
● Fraud involving stolen identity was reported at 5:54 p.m. Sept. 14 in the 1000 block of 8th Street. This remains under investigation.
● A Brodhead man, 57, was cited for no proof of vehicle insurance at 4:35 p.m. Sept. 15 in the 300 block of 23rd Street.
On Sept. 17:
● A Juda man, 22, was arrested on a charge of operating while intoxicated, operating with a prohibited alcohol content and failure to display license plates at 2:08 a.m. in the 1600 block of West 3rd Avenue.
● A Brodhead man, 41, was cited for disorderly conduct and damage to property at 12:52 p.m. in the 1600 block of 1st Center Avenue. A Brodhead woman, 39, was also cited for disorderly conduct.
● A Monroe man, 53, was cited for speeding at 10:25 p.m. in the 1500 block of East 9th Avenue.
● A noise complaint was reported at 11:07 p.m. in the 1200 block of West 2nd Avenue. Officers were unable to locate source of noise.
On Sept. 18:
● A Janesville man, 23, was arrested on a probation and parole warrant at 1:10 a.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue.
● Trespassing and harassment were reported at 6:13 a.m. in the 100 block of 7th Street. This remains under investigation.
● Harassment was reported at 7:07 a.m. in the 100 block of 7th Street. This remains under investigation.
● Domestic abuse was reported at 10:22 a.m. in the 100 block of 7th Street. This remains under investigation.
● Suspicious activity involving an occupied parked car was reported at 10:31 p.m. in the 2500 block of East 3rd Avenue. It was found to be someone waiting for their shift to start.
Monroe Police
MONROE — Travis J. Runke, 49, Monroe, was arrested on two counts of retail theft at 6:50 a.m. Sept. 17 in the 700 block of 8th Avenue. He was also charged with obstructing an officer and bail jumping. He was jailed.
On Sept. 19:
● Payton A. Flannery, 19, Argyle, was arrested on a second-offense charge of operating while intoxicated at 1:13 a.m. on 21st Street and 9th Avenue. He was also cited for improper stop at stop sign, improper right turn and open intoxicants in vehicle. He was released to a responsible party.
● Jared A. Jones, 38, Darlington, was arrested on a third-offense charge of operating while intoxicated at 7:02 p.m. in the 400 block of West 8th Street. He was also cited for driving after revocation and failure to install ignition interlock device. He was jailed.
●Laura G. Gonzalez, 22, Monroe, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court on a previous charge at 10:32 p.m. Sept. 21 in the 2700 block of Wis. 69. She was jailed.
Green County Sheriff
MONROE — Deputies, Dane County Sheriff’s Office, Green County Human Services, Stateline Area Narcotics Taskforce, Green County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team, Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response Team and Monroe Police Department Emergency Response Team conducted a residential search warrant at 3 p.m. Sept. 10 in the N5500 block of Wis. 69, Town of Washington. As a result, Derek S. Hammer, 34, Shannon, Illinois, was arrested on two counts of disorderly conduct, battery, possession of THC, second-offense possession of cocaine, two counts of possession of a firearm, two counts child neglect, maintaining a drug trafficking dwelling and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was jailed. Melissa A. Trumpy, 36, Monticello, was arrested on a charge of child neglect, possession of THC and drug paraphernalia. She was released.
● Sarah M. Svehiek, 34, Browntown, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct at 2:44 p.m. Sept. 11 in the 200 block of East Main Street, Town of Cadiz. She was released.
● Nicholas A. Puckett, 21, Blanchardville, was arrested on a charge of operating with a restricted controlled substance at 12:52 a.m. Sept. 12 in the N3500 block of Wis. 69, Town of Monroe. He was also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding and driving without a valid license. He was released.
● Duane A. Whiting, 67, Genoa, was arrested on a charge of felony bail jumping at 2:21 p.m. Sept. 15 in the 3400 block of Wis. 69 as a result of passing a deputy in a no passing zone. He was also cited for driving after revocation, failure to install an interlock ignition device and speeding. He was jailed.
On Sept. 19:
● Alvaro Perez. 29, Fitchburg, was arrested on a warrant through Lafayette County for failure to pay fine at 5:46 p.m. in the N5000 block of Wis. 104. He was also cited for speeding. He was released after posting bond.
● Jacey Lyons, 21, Monroe, was cited for first-offense operating while intoxicated, open intoxicants in vehicle and speeding at 10:15 p.m. in the W4000 block of Wis. 11. Her passenger, Mitchell D. Hale, 22, Monroe, was arrested for obstruction. He was jailed.
● Robert P. Bennett, 33, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct and battery at 11:40 p.m. in the W3800 block of Nye Road, Town of Exeter as a result of a 911 open line with yelling and a screaming child. He was jailed

DARLINGTON — Alejandro Tlaxcaltecatl Tlehuactle, 27, Darlington, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct and battery at 4:08 a.m. Sept. 19 at a residence on Catherine Street as a result of a disturbance.
