MONROE — The 2020 Green County Cheese Days Prince and Princess Contest will be held Saturday, June 6 at the Historic Green County Courthouse in downtown Monroe. Judging and interviews will take place in the morning, with the awards ceremony to follow at noon.

New this year is an extension in the age limit for contestants. Children ages 6-10 are invited to apply. Contestants must be residents of Green County. A parent or guardian must accompany their child to the contest. If selected as prince or princess, a parent or guardian must accompany their child to all events and provide transportation to and from all events. 

Children will be judged on personality, appearance, speaking ability and Swiss costume. All contestants must wear Swiss costumes. The festival’s Royalty Coordinator will provide oversight regarding final costume for the children who will serve as prince and princess.
