Monticello FFA Reporter, 2026-2027

On October 7th 2026, Monticello FFA entered a junior and senior level team at the Wisconsin FFA State Land Judging Contest. This event was hosted by UW-Platteville, and the top five senior teams would have the opportunity to compete at the National Land and Range Judging Contest in Oklahoma on May 6th, 2027.

Our junior team consisted of John Wettach, Teige Jurrens, Billie Aulik, and Harper Hartwig; and they earned a third place ranking. Our senior team consisted of Olivia Christen, Beau Hoesly, Annie Olson, and Avery Smith; and they were quite fortunate.

Though none of them placed in the top ten individually, their scores were so consistent that, as a team, they landed a third place ranking and qualified for Oklahoma! All members of both teams were quite excited with their results as their scores improved by an average of 60 points (on a 400 point scale) compared to their scores from the Green County Land Judging Contest held two weeks prior.

Congratulations to all that competed and best of luck to the senior team members in May.
