Monroe: Woman's Club International Affairs meeting April 9

MONROE - Monroe Woman's Club will hold its International Affairs meeting beginning at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, in Wesley Hall of the Monroe Arts Center, Monroe. Inge Brockman and Mary Schmid are chairmen.

The evening begins with dinner prepared by member Nanci Valentino and served by the committee.

After dinner, club members will be joined by the winners of the Helen Farnsworth Mears contest and awards will be presented.

Monroe High School's two AFS students, Nao Otake from Japan and Eva Thielen from Germany, will share their heritage with the woman's club.

Voting will take place for the 2008-2010 officers.

CIP for April will be Marge Klinzing from the Monroe Parks and Recreation Department speaking about pool passes for underprivileged families.
