MONROE - Monroe Sons of Norway, Ostestaden Lodge, will meet 7 p.m. Thursday, April 10, at the former Resurrection Lutheran Church building north of the Ludlow Mansion in Monroe.
Jerry Dahlen, who lives on a farm north of New Glarus and who also owns Norwegian Fjord horses, will speak on the Buhund, a dog of Norway recently acquired by him and his wife, Juany. They waited more than two years for a Norwegian buhund puppy to be available, and while it was expensive, they feel this dog breed that goes back to the Viking days was well worth it.
Visit the Ostestaden Lodge on April 10 to hear more about this wonderful dog and its heritage. Guests are always welcome and treats are served after the program.
