MAC plans Holiday Silent Auction

MONROE — From Friday, Nov. 22 through Saturday, Dec. 14, Monroe Arts Center’s 22nd Annual Holiday Silent Auction will once again provide treasures for those looking to shop. The auction opening night is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22. Auction items will be on display in Monroe Arts Center’s Rudd Hall, 1315 11th St.

This fundraiser for MAC features hundreds of items donated by individuals and businesses from Monroe and the surrounding area. To assist shoppers, a catalog shopping guide listing the items by category is provided. This year’s auction categories are original art and handcrafted items; holiday-themed items; books; home and garden; clothing and jewelry, collectibles; health and beauty; toys, sports, and recreation; restaurant and specialty dinners; theater, entertainment and experiences; pets; baked goods and specialty foods; and more.

Just a few of the items in this year’s auction include: a 19-inch handcrafted Maple and Walnut bowl; pizza party for 12 persons with bowling and shoe rental; numerous items for pets; a Ninja Foodi; and a Wegmueller farm getaway, which includes a scenic flight in a World War II open cockpit plane.
