Gap Church Museum presents Fall Fest Fundraiser
ALBANY — There will be a spaghetti dinner from 12-4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct.14 at the Gap Church Museum. Meals include entree, side salad, bread, drinks and dessert. Pay at the door. Sit down and take out options available.
Proceeds go towards upkeep and maintenance of the 167 year old building.

JANESVILLE — Blackhawk Technical College District Board members have been invited to attend the Annual Harvest Dinner to benefit Culinary Arts on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2023, starting at 5 p.m. at the Buckhorn Supper Club, 11802 N Charley Bluff Road, Milton.
A quorum of the Blackhawk Technical College District Board may be present at the dinner. District Board members will not be discussing College/District Board business.
Assembly Democrats Class of 2023 introduce Automatic Voter Registration Bill
MADISON — On Oct. 3, the Assembly Democrats Class of 2023, along with Senator Jeff Smith, introduced LRB-4200, which creates an Automatic Voter Registration system in Wisconsin.
“The heart of our democracy rests on the ability of all citizens to participate in free and fair elections. Any barrier to a citizen’s participation, however small, is also a barrier to democracy. Many residents in rural and urban parts of Wisconsin struggle to get registered. Automatic Voter Registration is one way to ensure everyone has access to the most basic American right — voting,” the Assembly Dems Class of 2023 shared in an Oct. 3 press release.

Swiss Historical Village Annual Harvest Fest, Oct. 8
NEW GLARUS — The annual Harvest Fest at the Swiss Historical Village will be held on Sunday, Oct. 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in New Glarus.
Celebrate at the family-oriented event that features 30-plus exhibitors demonstrating old-time crafts. Stroll the grounds and view the 14 village historical buildings, enjoy the Swiss music and arts throughout the day, and be treated to Swiss and baked-good treats. There are also activities for the children.
