NEW GLARUS — New Glarus High School has been named a U.S. News and World Report Best High School. The U.S. News and World Report Best High Schools rankings include data on nearly 24,000 public high schools in the United States.
This year New Glarus High School ranked No. 33 in Wisconsin out of 514 high schools, and No. 1,244 in the United States, with an overall score of 93.03 out of 100. This ranking was the highest in Green County and the Capitol Conference. Schools were ranked on six factors including their performance on state assessments and how well these schools prepare students for college.
“This is a great honor and helps us know that although the past couple years have been challenging, all of the hard work of our students and staff has paid off,” Superintendent Jennifer Thayer said. “We are constantly striving for excellence and are very proud of our students, staff, parents, and community, who are all a part of making NGHS successful.”
