MONTICELLO — The Monticello Area Historical Society will hold its 28th Annual Meeting and Dinner, Thursday, May 25. Gather at 5:30 p.m. for the 6 p.m. annual meeting with 7 p.m. buffet dinner at the Pink Heifer Saloon & Smokehouse. Dinner cost is $30, with tax & tip included.
The evening’s program will be “Cleaning, Sorting, Curating, & Accession — OH MY!” presented by Danielle Benden of Driftless Pathways, Lodi.

Colstad selected as UWW orientation leader
WHITEWATER — Drew Colstad of Evansville has been selected as an orientation leader for the 2022-2023 Hawk Squad. The squad welcome new students to the campus. They guide students through orientation, advising, and registration programs, and providing support.
Pleasant View to hold annual Olympic event this week
MONROE — Pleasant View Nursing Home is celebrating National Nursing Home week with a new tradition, Olympic event. The event will begin at 2 p.m. on May 17.
There are four teams competing representing their home units of Lane, Trail, View and the Administration hall. Events will be held outside on the side entrance in front of Club 48 area. Events include (4) Minute to Win it games. Residents and families will be cheering for their favorite teams, and the public is encouraged to attend.

LCHS to hold meeting May 18 for upcoming cemetery walk
DARLINGTON — The Lafayette County Historical and Genealogy Society will have a planning meeting for persons interested in participating in the Union Grove Cemetery Walk on June 3. The meeting will be on Thursday, May 18, at 3:30 p.m. in the Lower Level Meeting Room of the Museum at 525 Main St in Darlington.
