American Legion Post 214 meeting Jan. 3

DARLINGTON — The Darlington American Legion Post 214 members, along with the Legion Auxiliary, will be meeting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 3 at the Legion Post. The lounge will open at 6 p.m. It is encouraged for all members to attend to find out what is happening with the Legion family. 

Veterans with an Honorable Discharge are eligible to join the American Legion. Spouses of veterans are encouraged to ask them to join the American Legion, and then the spouse can join the American Legion Auxiliary. Those that had a great-grandfather/grandmother, grandfather/grandmother, father/mother or brother/sister who was or is currently a veteran are eligible to join the Sons of The American Legion (SAL). 

The American Legion Family is very active with the care of veterans and their benefits with children, youth and community programs. 

Those interested can come to a meeting and get signed up.
