MONROE — Introduction to Zen Practice will be held from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 6 at Great Plains Zen Center, W7762 Falk Rd., Monroe. The facility is wheelchair accessible and pre-registration is requested.
Participants in this workshop will receive instruction in how to do Zen meditation and will learn about the types and goals of Zen practice, the benefits and how to keep practice at home going successfully. Newcomers and those with experience are welcome.
Meditation can be practiced by people of any religious tradition and can help with reducing everyday stress, promoting clarity of mind, concentration and compassion toward all beings.
