NEW GLARUS — More than 120 business leaders, community members, and partners gathered on October 15th at Edelweiss Chalet Golf Club in New Glarus for the Green County Development Corporation (GCDC) Fall Breakfast.

The morning’s program focused on population trends in the region and what those shifts could mean for wealth distribution in Green County and southern Wisconsin in the years ahead. Panelists, Kevin Dospoy from Forward Analytics and Wyatt Jackson and Jamie Gurholt from the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin, Inc. shared insights and led a discussion with attendees about the opportunities and challenges these trends present for local communities.

“Green County is well-positioned for growth, and events like this show why,” said Olivia Otte, Executive Director, GCDC. “Our region benefits from strong partnerships and engaged leaders who are willing to look ahead and plan together. Understanding where our population is heading helps us make smart decisions today that build a stronger, more prosperous Green County for generations to come.”

GCDC extends its thanks to Woodford State Bank for sponsoring the event, and to Forward Analytics and the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin for their participation on the panel.

“We hope this conversation spurs more discussion and forward momentum across our region,” said Olivia Otte.
