BROWNTOWN - Monroe Clinic's parish nurse program is partnering with Peace United Church of Christ to hold a Parish Nurse Health Fair from 8 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Browntown Civic Center, 107 S. Mill St., Browntown. Parish nurse Linda Boss invites all members of the community to attend this event to learn more about wellness and disease prevention. The event is free and registration is not required.

Monroe Clinic will offer free blood sugar, blood pressure and lipid profile screenings. Monroe Clinic representatives also will provide information on a number of topics, including healthy eating, exercise and hospice care.

The Green County Health Department will have information available on a variety of topics including disaster kits, smoking cessation and environmental health. Staff will be on hand to answer questions about the new Fowler Memorial Free Dental Clinic. Many other resources also will be available.

"The Parish Nurse Health Fair is an excellent opportunity to promote health and wellness to members of the faith community and the community as a whole," said Kris Wisnefske, RN MSN, parish nurse coordinator at Monroe Clinic.
