MONROE - A fundraiser to benefit the Arrowhead District in Green County Wisconsin and Blackhawk Area Boy Scout Council is scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m. July 29 at Minhas Brewery in Monroe.
The District and Council serve Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venture Scouts, Explorers and their leaders in Green County and ten additional counties in southwest Wisconsin and northwest Illinois.
The tasting rooms at Minhas Brewery will host the first annual Taste of Green County. Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the brewery, try Minhas brews and taste sample-sized foods from many of Green County's favorite restaurants and vendors.
Throughout the evening, there also will be musical entertainment and drawings for numerous large ticket items, as well as silent auctions for dozens of donated items. Proceeds will go toward the Scouts.
The perfect ending to this new event will be Boy Scout homemade cobbler made on site in Dutch ovens.
