To the editor:
The police departments in Green County would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who donated to the Shop With A Cop program for 2012. It is extremely gratifying to see your generous outpouring for this program and all of the county's children that benefit from it. This year because of your generosity, law enforcement was able to give 142 children of Green County a little better Christmas than they may have otherwise had. All of your donations went to accomplish this goal. Thank you. A special thank-you is extended to all the wrappers, the high school helpers, the D.A.'s Office, Probation and Parole, Human Services and everyone's favorite Santa Claus and Elf who take time to come to talk to all the children. Thanks to Walmart for providing breakfast and staff. Thank-you once again and we look forward to next year's Shop with a Cop program.
