To the Editor:

I would like to respond to Gene Rufer’s letter to the editor where he praised President Trump and denigrated the Democrats. He somehow equates President Trump’s accomplishments and qualifications with President Reagan. What an insult to the Reagan family and to his memory. Yes, Reagan was an actor but he also served two terms as governor of the largest state in the union, California. Trump ran a large corporation? Really? What did his company make or produce? He runs a family owned business that makes nothing and he is responsible only to himself. Buying and selling real estate and filing for bankruptcy every now and then. As to the Democrat bashing, we have recently had Democrats Clinton and Obama serve in the White House for a total of 16 years. In all that time tell me Mr. Rufer how many law-abiding citizens lost their guns? Any churches or synagogues closed? Free speech taken away from anyone? Your fear mongering is not going to cover up for the shortcomings of your dear leader. Biden/Harris 2020.
