County hasn't made case for additional taxes

I agree, I don't want to see Pleasant View Nursing Home closed or sold. I do believe voting yes on this referendum is the wrong thing to do.

Not enough has been done by the Green County Board or the administrator to justify us throwing more money their way. I just heard the administrator is going to look for ways to cut expenses. Why wait until now? Why wasn't that done before? Was this said now so people will think, "Oh, I guess they are doing all they can but they still need more money?"

And then we have the County Board. Has it really looked hard at what can be done without asking for more money? The county must have plenty of money somewhere if it was able to build the Justice Center that the majority of the people didn't want. If they had done their job, board supervisors would have known the money would be needed for Pleasant View. Besides, if memory serves me right, isn't this what the 0.5 percent sales tax was supposed to be for?

I say vote "No." Have this fixed without adding more of a burden on the taxpayers.
