Blossoms to Martha Bernet for providing on Monday, Dec. 17 the most beautiful Christmas music I've heard in a long time. Her choice of songs represented a true spirit of the holy season. Keep up the good work. Thank you. - Wili Petitjean

A big blossom to Monroe MIddle School for the nice program and lunch they had for the seniors around the Monroe area last week. I have missed it other years. I enjoyed it immensely and will attend again. - Betty Cassidy

A very large blossom to Monroe Morning Optimists for their donation to Monroe Middle School to provide scholarships to needy eighth-graders who would not be able to go to Washington, D.C. without assistance. Due to their generosity, four eighth-graders will be able to participate. Also, a belated blossom to the anonymous family who has provided two scholarships year after year for the D.C. trip even when they have no children going. - Eighth-grade trip director

A blossom to some wonderful neighbors of mine. I got a car stuck near County FF and Rechsteiner Road at 7 p.m. Wonderful neighbors, the Bruggers, came, tried to dig me out, tried to pull me out, used a skid loader to remove snow from around the car. I was able to move, after a half hour at least of them standing in the road freezing like me. Thanks very very much. - Jerry Schupbach
---
A barb to all the selfish people who are too lazy to park in their driveway to pick up their rural mail. Why do you risk other motorists lives by stopping on a highway on the wrong side of the road blocking part of the lane? Or get yourself a P.O. box. - Jake Logan
