Apparently, they really now how to throw a pep rally in Brodhead.
Our photographer, Brenda Steurer, just returned to the office from Brodhead High Schools sendoff of its volleyball team. The Cardinals will make the schools first state volleyball tournament appearance at 4 p.m. Friday at the Resch Center in Green Bay. Theyll play Waukesha Catholic Memorial.
This morning the school had a pep rally, that Brenda reports was fun and raucous. It included spotlit introductions, a mock volleyball match with faculty dressed as the opponents, and a lineup of supporters from the gym to the bus. Brenda also reports that there are four fan buses going up to Green Bay tomorrow.
If the fans are as enthusiastic Friday as they were today, Brenda says, they may give the Cardinals a sort of home-court advantage in Green Bay. Lets hope so!
