SOUTH WAYNE - Black Hawk freshmen Hannah Butler and Maddy Huschitt combined to score 31 points to lead the Warriors to a 57-22 win over Argyle in a WIAA Division 5 regional semifinal game Friday.

However, the win for Black Hawk (21-0) came at a cost. Black Hawk freshman Natalie Leuzinger, the Warriors' leading scorer at 18.7 points per game, was injured and the game was delayed about 30 minutes so she could be carted off the court and taken by ambulance to the Monroe Clinic.

"I don't know the extent or nature of her injury," Black Hawk coach Mike Flanagan said after the game. "We have been very lucky. We haven't had any injuries this year. That's the nature of sports. It's part of athletics."

Flanagan said he doesn't know when or if Leuzinger will be able to return.

Butler scored a game-high 16 points and drilled three 3-pointers, and Huschitt added 15 points and knocked down two 3-pointers.

"Maddy Huschitt really rose to the occasion and contributed a lot for us," Flanagan said.

Black Hawk (21-0), ranked second in the Associated Press Division 5 state poll, had a 15-point lead at the half. The Warriors outscored the Orioles 29-9 in the second half.

Black Hawk will host Fall River in a regional final at 7 p.m. today in South Wayne.
