HIGHLAND - The Warriors put the finishing touches on their unbeaten season in a 48-12 victory over Highland, clinching the Six Rivers conference title.

Black Hawk (9-0, 8-0 Six Rivers East) displayed the versatility of their running game, as the team did not have a single 100-yard rusher despite getting 285 total yards on the ground. Tanner Sweeney had 76 yards and one touchdown on 13 carries and Jayden Rufenacht had 69 yards and three touchdowns on eight carries.

"We didn't have the offensive yards we normally have," Black Hawk coach Cory Milz said. "But the stats are a little misleading because our special teams and defense gave us some short fields."

That defensive and special teams help included a Tyler Peterson interception that set up a short field and a Brett Lovelace punt return of 62 yards. Heath Butler also returned an interception 35 yards for a score.

The Warriors scored all 48 of their points in the first three quarters before putting in their reserves.

The Cardinals' Alex Kutzke had four catches for 145 yards, including touchdowns of 56 and 44 yards. Blake Bombkamp passed for 164 yards for Highland.

"The kids are happy about our record," Milz said. "There are a lot of things that can go wrong when you're pursuing an unbeaten season. That was the first goal of the year and we accomplished it."

Darlington 55,

Riverdale 7

MUSCODA - The Redbirds jumped all over Riverdale, scoring 48 first half points in the regular season finale.

Darlington (8-1, 7-0 SWAL) rushed for 415 yards in the game and had three 100-yard rushers despite pulling their starters after the first series of the second half. The Chieftains ran for 76.

"Our kids controlled the line of scrimmage," Darlington coach Scott Zywicki said. "We got out to a big lead and kind of coasted from there."

Jason Singer led the Redbirds in rushing with 149 yards and three touchdowns. Singer was also the leading receiver with three catches for 81 yards and a touchdown. Tyler Leahy had 144 yards on only nine carries and had three touchdowns of his own. Cole McDonal was nearly perfect for the Redbirds, completing four of five passes for 100 yards.

Edgerton 42, Evansville-Albany 7

EDGERTON - The Crimson Tide were too much for Evansville-Albany to handle as they rang up 426 yards rushing on their way to an unbeaten conference season.

Edgerton's Rickey Williams 247 rushing yards was more than the yardage total for the entire Blue Devil's offensive. Williams had two touchdown runs of 50 yards or more and got in the endzone three times on the ground.

Blue Devil's quarterback Matt Sperry completed 10 of 19 passes for 106 yards and one touchdown, a nine yarder to Nick Walczak. Ryan Cashore led Evansville-Albany (5-4, 3-2 Rock Valley North) with 52 yards on eight carries.

Big Foot 16, Brodhead-Juda 3

WALWORTH - Brodhead-Juda's dreams of winning a Rock Valley South Conference championship were dashed after a 16-3 loss to Walworth Big Foot.

The conference showdown was all Big Foot, which won its 50th straight conference game. Brodhead-Juda (7-2, 5-1 Rock Valley South) had two turnovers. Brodhead-Juda senior Derk Turner rushed for 48 yards on 13 carries. Brodhead-Juda's Brennan Bescup was 9 of 24 passing for 91 yards with one interception. The only score for the Cardinals came on Brady Bueschel's 27-yard field goal in the second quarter.
