Sugar River shuts down Portage-Poynette in showdown

BELLEVILLE - Sugar River junior Travis Loeffelholz scored three goals to propel the Raiders to a 9-1 win over Portage-Poynette on Thursday.

Sugar River junior Mitchell DeLorme scored the first of his two goals at 11 minutes, 12 seconds to put the Raiders on the board. Senior Justin Stadelman scored a goal moments later to give the Raiders a 2-0 lead.

After playing to a 2-1 halftime lead, the Raiders blew the game open, scoring seven second-half goals. Loeffelholz scored all three of his goals in the second half.

Taylor Nealis and Dylan Paris also scored goals for the Raiders who improved to 6-5-4, 4-0-2 Capitol South.
