MONROE - Six girls and boys basketball players have been selected to play in the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association All-Star game.

Monroe senior Brooke McBain will play as a member of the Division 2 South team. Darlington senior Amy Jorgenson was selected to play as part of the Division 4 South team.

New Glarus senior Tyler Kreklow and Darlington senior Brandon Hardyman will play for the boys Division 4 South team. Monticello senior Lukas Kolasch, the Six Rivers East Conference Player of the Year, will play on the Division 5 South team. Monticello coach Mark Olson will coach the Division 5 South team.

When former Milwaukee Buck Jon McGlocklin retired from the team in 1976, his friend and broadcaster Eddie Doucette had a son, Brett who was diagnosed with cancer at age 2. McGlocklin, who was the Bucks first All-Star and played on the championship Bucks in 1971, developed the MACC Fund and became the president. The WBCA has been a supporter of the MACC Fund since the first boys and girls All-Star games in 1978.

In order to play in the game, each player and coach who participates in the game has to raise a minimum of $500 for the MACC Fund.

The girls All-Star games will be played Friday, June 15 at Just A Game Fieldhouse in the Wisconsin Dells. The boys games will be played Saturday, June 16 at Just A Game Fieldhouse.
