ALBANY - The 2013-14 Six Rivers East All-Conference selections were announced for the boys basketball season, and plenty of area talent highlighted those honored.
Albany senior Isaiah Shell was named to the first team, while also taking home Player of the Year honors. Joining Shell on the first team squad were Black Hawk junior Heath Butler, Monticello senior Lucas Marty, Pecatonica junior Drew Schliem, and Barneveld senior Jeremy Whitish.
Collecting second-team accolades were freshman A.J. Hendrickson of Pecatonica, junior Ben May of Monticello, sophomore Riley Ostby of Argyle, senior Seth Butler of Black Hawk, and freshman Matthew Myers of Barneveld.
Cory Segner and Matt Schmitt of Juda, Logan Crooks (Monticello), Tyler Dahl (Albany), Brett Lovelace (Black Hawk), Zach Shilling (Pecatonica), and Alec Treuthardt (Argyle) rounded out the conference's honorable-mention selections. Barneveld coach Mike Whitish took home Coach of the Year.
Finishing the season on top of the league were Barneveld and Black Hawk, both of whom finished with a 9-3 record in conference play. Albany finished a close second as the season came to a close.
