LENA - The Darlington girls golf team knocked off Lena-Winslow in a dual 200-241 on Tuesday.
Darlington senior Kinsey Gould shot a 7-over-par 43 to lead the Redbirds. Senior teammate Lexi Wagner carded a 44 and Kennedy Wagner finished with a 57. Darlington's Sydney Brandt rounded out the top four for the Redbirds shooting a 58.
"Kinsey and Lexi have both been playing phenomenally so far this season," Darlington coach Molly Rice said. They have both worked very hard in the offseason, so they are well-deserving of their success so far. We are looking for those two to be leaders this year."
With the win, Darlington improved to 1-0 this season in dual matches. The Redbirds also won the Darlington Quad in the season opener Aug. 12.
