DARLINGTON - Senior Hunter Johnson ran for all six of the touchdowns in the game and the Darlington High School football team rolled over Prairie du Chien 42-0 Friday.

Johnson, who carried the ball 19 times for 149 yards, scored his first TD from 24 yards out with 5:46 to play in the first quarter.

He also scored on runs of 1, 9 and 3 yards in the first half to help the Redbirds build a 28-0 lead by halftime. He added a 2-yard TD run in the third quarter and a 19-yard TD run in the fourth quarter.

Johnson has scored eight touchdowns in two games.

Tyler Mosley carried the ball 17 times for 113 yards as the Redbirds gained 325 yards on the ground.

Darlington held Prairie du Chien to two first downs, 57 rushing yards and 48 passing yards.

Lake Mills 41,

New Glarus-Monticello 13

NEW GLARUS - Quarterback Ben Dunkleberger passed for 327 yards and three touchdowns to lead the L-Cats over New Glarus-Monticello.

Dunkleberger completed 24 of 31 passes (77.4 percent) to lead a Lake Mills offense that rolled up 448 total yards.

New Glarus-Monticello running back Tanner Jelle rushed for 120 yards on 16 carries and scored one touchdown. Jelle had a 9-yard TD run early in the second quarter.

New Glarus-Monticello's Zach Price scored on a 23-yard run in the third quarter.



In other games, Pecatonica-Argyle rolled to a 35-6 victory over Iowa-Grant, Shullsburg blanked Black Hawk 24-0, and Jefferson edged Evansville-Albany 20-17. Coaches from Pecatonica-Argyle, Black Hawk and Evansville-Albany didn't provide any information about their games to the Times.
