WISCONSIN DELLS - The Darlington-Cuba City girls golf team had two golfers miss out on qualifying for the sectional.
Darlington-Cuba City senior Shelly Augustin shot a 106 and tied for 20th place in the WIAA Division 2 Wisconsin Dells regional at Trappers Turn. Augustin was just six shots away from qualifying for the sectional. Darlington senior Sami Poss carded a 108 and tied for 24th place, which was eight shots away from qualifying for the sectional.
Madison Edgewood (332) won the team regional championship. The other team sectional qualifiers include McFarland (372), Prairie du Chien (398) and the Wisconsin Dells (414). Darlington-Cuba City finished sixth (463). The top four teams from each regional advance to the sectional.
Madison Edgewood had the top two golfers. The regional champion was Edgewood junior Caroline Lake who shot a 74 and the regional runner-up was junior teammate Tess Hackworthy who shot a 76.
Darlington-Cuba City freshman Alexi Wagner finished 33rd place (124) and freshman Kinsey Gould took 34th carding a 125.
