MONROE — Belleville-native Jack Gentilli continues to rack up collegiate awards for the UW-Platteville men’s soccer team, as he was most recently named to the All-Wisconsin State Team. This is the second straight year Gentilli has received this honor.
As a junior, Gentilli started in 20 games for the Pioneers. He scored a team-leading seven goals and nine assists for 23 points. With his nine assists, Gentilli led the Coast-to-Coast Conference. He was also second in shots (54) and third in points and goals, earning First Team recognition.
The Pioneers finished the 2022 campaign with a 12-5-3 record. In the C2C quarterfinals, Platteville tied with Sallsbury 0-0 in triple overtime. The deciding factor was penalties, where the Pioneers dropped 7-6. In the opening round of the NCAA tournament, UWP fell to Willamette 3-1.
