MONROE - Almost 60 boys and girls participated this summer in the Monroe Park and Recreation-sponsored tennis program. First- and second-place medals were given out in each of the nine leagues. Youth participating were from elementary through high school.

In the elementary girl's singles division, first place went to Alysha Witt with second place going to Ashley Placek.

Erin Gellings took first in the middle school girl's singles division, with Eva Priewe taking second.

Priewe finished on top in the elementary and middle school girl's doubles division with Alysha Witt finishing second.

Matt Monahan took first in the elementary and middle school boy's singles division, one spot ahead of second-place finisher Nick Barnes.

In the elementary and middle school boy's doubles league, first place went to Matt Miller with Monahan taking second.

Rachel Root took first in the high school girl's singles league, one place ahead of Alyssa Quinn.

Kelsey Erickson won the high school girl's doubles title, besting Root.

In the high school boy's singles league, first place went to Jess Hager while second place went to Kevin Kohlstedt.

Hager won the high school boy's doubles division, with Ellyott Baertschi taking second.
