CAMBRIDGE - Patrick Oates only caught two passes for Cambridge on Friday, but they were big ones.

Oates hauled in two touchdown passes from quarterback Colin Blagus, one for 30 yards and the other for 88 in a fourth-quarter comeback en route to a 12-7 win over New Glarus-Monticello.

Neither team scored until the fourth, when Glarner Knights quarterback Ryan Bright connected with Cameron Jeglum on a 26-yard pass with 8:46 left. The extra point gave New Glarus a 7-0 lead.

But the Blagus to Oates connection first hooked up with 6:04 remaining. New Glarus still found itself ahead when the extra point was no good.

Blagus and Oates weren't done, however, connecting with 2:08 left for the winning margin.

Bright completed five of 12 passes for 151 yards. Jeglum caught three of those passes for 85 yards.

Mike Elzan led New Glarus on the ground with 11 carries for 57 yards.

New Glarus returns to action next Friday when they travel to Wisconsin Heights.

Marshall 31, Belleville-Albany 8

By the time Belleville-Albany scored Friday at Marshall, the Cardinals were too far ahead.

The Wildcats scored their lone touchdown with 7:33 left in the game when Brendan Campbell got to the end zone from 4 yards out. A pass from Ryan Hendrickson to Alex McDermott was good for two points.

Marshall scored once in the first quarter, twice in the second quarter and again in the third to build a dominating 24-0 lead.

The Cardinals added another score in the fourth with 1:55 left for the final margin.

Campbell rushed 21 times for 107 yards. Belleville-Albany was held to no passing yards on only four attempts.
