DELAVAN - The Monroe boys track team finished fourth place at the Borg Invitational at Delavan-Dairen High School Friday.
"The boys had a very nice showing for what we would consider to be a tune-up for conference and regionals," Monroe boys track coach Curt Miller said.
Lakeside Lutheran won the eight-team meet outdistancing Westosha Central 155.5-144.5. Monroe took fourth with 94 points. The Monroe girls track team took sixth place (64). Lakeside Lutheran won the girls' invite 166-140 over Westosha Central.
The Cheesemakers' 3,200-meter relay team of Ryan Peterson, Jack Schluesche, Drake Ingold and Jason Koller won with a time of 8 minutes, 38.51 seconds.
Monroe senior Cody Faust won the 1,000-meters (2:44.27) and junior teammate Thang Lu won the 600 (1:25.56).
Monroe junior Mitch Keith finished second place in the pole vault (12 feet). Monroe's Justin Batz took second place in the 3,200 (10:51.70) and junior Tyler Sobacki was second in the 110 high hurdles (16.31).
Monroe freshman Jonah Tostrud took third place in the 800 (2:08.56) and freshman Dylan Scace was third in the 1,600 (4:55.33).
Jason Koller teamed with Dominick Curtiss, Cody Wolf and Alex Koller to finish third in the 1,600 relay (3:38.16).
In the girls' meet, the Cheesemakers' 400 relay team of MacKenzie Hesgard, Isabel Bazley, Makayla Phillips and Josie Eberle took second place with a time of 54.04 seconds.
Bazley teamed with Lexus Trickel, Mya Waterman and Jordan Hirsbrunner to finish second in the 1,600 relay (4:20.16). The Cheesemakers also finished second in the 3,200 relay. The 3,200 relay team of Bazley, Waterman, Rachel Meier and Ciara Kaderly took second with a time of 10:18.75, which was about three seconds away from champion Westosha Central.
Monroe sophomore Alicia Kuester finished third place in the triple jump (31-7 1/4). Monroe junior Brook Rowe took fourth in the shot put (29-0) and discus (79-8). Monroe senior Georgie Myers finished fourth place in the high jump (4-6) and Eberle took fourth in the pole vault (9-0).
Monroe sophomore Casey Rielly took third place in the 100 hurdles (17.64).
