JANESVILLE - The Monroe girls soccer team pitched two shutouts at the Janesville Parker Quad Monday.
Monroe (11-7-2, 2-4 Badger South) shut out Whitewater, 4-0, and beat Fort Atkinson, 1-0.
The Cheesemakers exploded for four first half goals to beat Whitewater. Monroe freshman Jessica Farrar scored the first goal on an assist from sophomore Lily Priewe at 19 minutes, 55 seconds.
Monroe senior goalkeeper Gail LaVoie had three saves.
In the second game, the Cheesemakers received a goal from Beck on a pass from Leeza Foley at 33:51.
LaVoie had three saves for the Cheesemakers.
