NEW GLARUS — The Glarner Knights placed two players on the Spring Volleyball Capitol All-Conference team.
New Glarus sophomore Grace Nommensen was one of two players in the entire league to be unanimously voted to the first team. She joined Columbus senior Hannah Fox, who also took home Player of the Year honors.
Knights senior Alexah Mellenberger earned second team all-conference honors.
Also named to the first team were Kylee Doherty and Daryn Schaefer of Wisconsin Heights, Rachel Yelk of Poynette, Zhu Lan Ness of Lodi and Belleville junior Ava Foley. Belleville junior Callie Smith was a second team pick.
Columbus (8-4) and Poynette (6-3) won the league title, based on winning percentage. Lodi (4-3) and Wisconsin Heights (4-3) were next, followed by Belleville (5-4), New Glarus (5-6) and Cambridge (0-9).
