Monroe takes season series from Milton

MONROE — With yet another 4-3 win over the Red Hawks on Tuesday, Dec. 19, Monroe earns the season win over Milton. The Cheesemakers also defeated the Red Hawks 4-3 in their season opener on Nov. 24. The two teams meet once more in the Stoughton tournament on Dec. 27.

The first period proved to be the difference, as Monroe scored two goals to Milton’s one. The final two periods were a wash.

Monroe got its goals from four different skaters — Brody Koehn, Patrick Alt, Gavin Roth and Benjamin Erdley. In net, Brock Brandli made 26 saves for the win.

BELOIT MEMORIAL 4, WAUPUN 2

WAUPUN — With two goals apiece from Max Allen and Gavin Brady, Beloit Memorial defeated Waupun in a nonconference game on Tuesday, Dec. 19.

Allen scored his goals in the first period, while Brady scored in the second and third periods. Jonas Buchholz scored both of Waupun’s goals, as just six total skaters earned points in the game.

Beloit Memorial outshot Waupun 52-16. In net, Gentry Grant made 14 saves for a .875 save percentage.
