STOUGHTON — Monroe-New Glarus began its 2024 season with a second-place finish in the Badger Small relays on Aug. 29. Edgewood, who won the event, edged MNG 204-142.

The ‘Cheese Knights’ had blank first-place relays — the 400-yard medley and 200-yard freestyle.

Anna Zentner, Amelia Geib, Piper Faber and Hadleigh Shunk finished the medley relay with a time of 4:29.33, with Shunk swimming a 28.66 in the final leg.

Maggie Piper, Delaney Lynch, Megan Chapman and Amalia Morrison edged the Edgewood relay team 0.54 seconds. Lynch and Chapman made up enough time in the middle to aid in the victory.
