STOUGHTON — Monroe’s girls team finished second and the boys were third at the Stoughton Triangular April 23.
“We used this meet as an opportunity to rest up a few of our top performers and to get several athletes an opportunity to score points and compete in different varsity events,” Monroe girls coach Eric Jubeck said. “We are starting our busy string of big meets, including this upcoming Tuesday — our last home meet.”
The home meet April 30 will feature Monona Grove, which Jubeck said is the favorite to win the conference race.
“We will treat this meet as a conference warm-up and see if we can stay with them in a dual meet,” Jubeck said.
Monroe was also scheduled to take part in the Cardinal Relays in Middleton April 26.
“It has 12 teams, and we are the only Division 2 program, so we will see where we are in comparison to some of the great programs in the Madison area,” Jubeck said.
